Nice set of articles, but wouldn’t it be a logical solution after the perfect way of installing user software is found and goes mainstream for distributions to ALMOST replace the underlying distribution package management(I say almost, since it would stay there for the distribution essential stuff, like kernel,x.org, and drivers)

Well - the here outlined perfect solution would be able to attach to the underlying distribution package system. Therefore there is nothing which could replace the underlying system.
That’s one of the basic ideas of that attempt: the distributions will not tolerate any system which replaces the underlying package system.
However, they might tolerate an attachment to their own system.
